Figures in English-to-Turkish Translations Dates Use day, month, year as in 16 Mayıs 2009. Use a numerical day, month, year as in 01.02.2010, only if required in legal documents and other official documents. Do not use slashes as in 01/02/2010. Key points: Do not use a capital letter unless it is absolutely required. Academic degrees are capitalized only when the full formal degree title is used. Academic specialties are not capitalized.
